Jarral is one of the 57 Union council of Abbottabad District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.[3]

Location

Jarral is 37 km from the city of Abbottabad and is located in a valley which is surrounded by large forested mountains on three sides. On the south of the valley lies the famous Tarbela Dam Jheel. The southern areas of Jarral UC borders Haripur District. Jabbi is an exceedingly beautiful and scenic hill station in the suburbs of Jarral. It is most beautiful village of than all which are near it.

Demographics

Jarral has a population of about 7,000. The locals speak Hindko. Tanolis are the dominant tribe of Jarral with a good number of Awans. Jarral is a main business point of surrounding areas with a main bazaar. Jarral has transport facilities for both Abbottabad and Haripur. Jamia Masjid Jarral is renowned for its architecture work. Jarral has beautiful mountains as well as agricultural fields naturally laying step by step amazing scene.Jarral has all the utility ficilities like Bank, Bazzar, Post office,ptcl, local networks, exchange and wireless fone etc.

Locals grow seasonal crops such as Maize (makai) and Wheat (kanak).

The literacy rate of Jarral is high as compared to others parts of the country. In fact, the literacy rate of the locality is well above the national average. The parents are highly motivated to properly educate their children and take great interest in their studies. Desparity or discrimination is no culture of Jarral, where girls are getting equal, identical and same chances of education as others with their free access to all fundamental rights. Woman Higher Education rate is much higher than the Male students.
